Membership
The Florida Literary Arts Coalition invites you to become a member in one of these four categories.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS: $35 (one year); $65 (two years)
Individual members share and support FLAC's literary mission. They join a network of writers, editors, publishers, educators, and literary activists.
They receive discounts on conference and workshop registration and are entitled to submit news and notes for publication on the FLAC website, blog, and Facebook pages.
INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS $150
In addition to supporting FLAC's literary mission, members of the institution (usually faculty and students) receive half-price conference registration, email newsletter, plus access to online and technical resources. Institutional Members are also entitled to host Florida Writers Circuit writers for a discounted rate, plus local food and lodging. MAGAZINES and LITERARY JOURNALS joining as INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS will have a link on FLAC's Web site, access to the organization's lobbying efforts, newsletter, and Writers' lists, as well as being able to display work at participating conferences, festivals, and other events. We will be able to share space at events such as AWP and perhaps BEA. Magazines and journals can also host FLAC FWC writers for readings and fund-raising for an agreed upon modest stipend and share cooperative advertising option WRITERS' GROUPS or associations joining as Institutional Members will also receive the magazine benefits, and will receive help with publicity as well as the ability to book FLAC writers to do workshops and readings at a discounted fee.
FLORIDA WRITERS' CIRCUIT PUBLISHER MEMBERS $500
In addition to supporting FLAC's literary mission, publisher members are eligible to place one of their authors on the Writer's Circuit each year. They also receive half-price conference registration and book fair display privileges, email newsletter, plus access to online and technical resources.
FLORIDA WRITERS' CIRCUIT HOST MEMBER $1,200
In addition to supporting FLACs literary mission, Host Members (usually a college or university, a library system, or a literary festival) will be eligible to host any or all of the writers that the FLAC Florida Writers Circuit (FWC) schedules to bring to Florida and all of the Florida Arts Council (FAC) Literature Fellows. The organization will not need to pay any additional stipends or travel expenses, except for local lodging and food during the writer's visit at the host site.(Also see the note on Host Member Benefits below.) FWC HOST MEMBERS can enjoy substantial reduction in costs for literary events. The FWC arranges to bring at least two out-of-state writers to Florida each year, sponsors writers from our three member presses, and makes all Florida Arts Council literary fellowship writers available for readings. This offers Host Members a wide range and number of potential visiting writers for only $1,200 a year, without paying any additional stipends or travel costs. Host Members will be invited to nominate and vote on which out-of-state writers to invite to Florida during each calendar year.
